After three long months of grinding in the shop, in the gym, and behind the scenes, the 2026 GT Arenacross season officially kicked off in Claremore — and what a way to start the year. This weekend was proudly presented by Dump Monster, offering fast, reliable dumpster rentals in multiple sizes for residential and commercial projects. Their custom gear and graphics looked insane under the lights — some of our favorite branding we’ve ever rolled out. Racing in Oklahoma always hits different, but with Wyatt lining up in his hometown, the energy was electric from the moment we unloaded.
This is year two for the Ajax Motorsports 405 Mods Race Team, and you could feel the difference. The crew rolled in calm, confident, and dialed. Media, pit setup, race-day flow — everything clicked. Claremore dirt looked grippy, but the real challenge all weekend was finding traction where almost none existed.
Friday Night Both riders headed straight to the Night Show after solid qualifying runs — no consi needed. In the Heat races, Bayler grabbed a 5th and punched his ticket directly into his first career GT Arenacross Main Event, a massive milestone in only his first attempt. Wyatt finished 6th and went to the LCQ, missing the direct transfer by one spot.
Bayler fought hard in both Mains, finishing 14th in Moto 1 after a crash and 11th in Moto 2, giving him a strong 12th overall to start the season. Wyatt dominated the B Main with a holeshot-to-checkers ride.
Saturday Night The weekend mirrored itself in reverse. Bayler missed the A Main by one in his Heat and two in the LCQ, then answered back by pulling the holeshot and winning the B Main — just like Wyatt the night before. Wyatt charged through the LCQ to secure a spot in the A Main, where tough starts resulted in 13-12 finishes for 12th overall.
After two nights of racing, the guys sit 14th and 16th in points — not far off where we want to be and plenty of season left to climb.
A huge moment on Saturday morning came when the team visited Wyatt’s family ranch for a massive breakfast they prepared for riders, family, and friends. That hometown support was unreal and deeply appreciated.
Round 1 & 2 are in the books. The foundation is set. The speed is there. The fire is lit. Now it’s time to build.
